can anyone tell me what the advantages of being an RICS member are? Is it just a fancy title that will get you places in the construction industry a bit quicker? or is a title that you cant get anywhere without?

looking at 2 identical courses, one is rics accredited and the other isnt. reckon it makes a difference?

out of curiosity, what are the two courses? I suppose RICS is the construction/property industry's equivalent to CA for accountants so in that regards, it is beneficial. Especially in the UK, not sure about the rest of the work (Asia, Americas etc.)

Project and Enterprise Management and Construction Economics and Management both at UCL. All particular modules i want are available in both. but PEM is RICS accredited course. So i was wondering if that should make it hugely preferably. I also live and work abroad so you don't encounter many with the title so not sure if it will make a significant impact. I guess if the option is there might as well take it.
