Backstory – I drifted from my close group of friends after Christmas and we no longer talk. Mentioning this as for the first time in my life I’m without a close group of girlfriends and the potential for developing a new group is an influencing factor in this decision.
I currently live in University halls of accommodation. The dilemma is where do I live next year.

Option 1 – with current flatmates
I say my current flatmates but, one of my current flatmates and then two people who hang out in our flat a lot. I’ve lived in this flat since January, we get on, there aren’t too many parties or too much noise. It would be 4 of us sharing. It means that I’d stay in touch with my current flatmates and the other people that live in the flat & get closer to these girls. I like them all.
We’ve yet to start looking for a flat but it wouldn’t be too hard to find a reasonable one.
However- we don’t hang out THAT much now, they are all younger than me, none of them are as an intensive courses as me.

Option 2 – two girls I’ve found through gumtree
I have only met these girls once when I went to look round the flat. Both are a few years older than me, but a lot of my friends tend to be older than me & I feel normally more comfortable with older people. Both are masters students come September. The flat is really nice and really affordable and in a fantastic location. I know I have only met them once but I do think getting on with them wouldn’t be a problem & potentially meet more people. The flat would be pretty quiet I think, rarely any parties.

I can’t decide. Any thoughts or opinions?
