Do you happen to know what kind of loan they were talking about? Because it seems that the only financial support available for GEM in ireland is through the three banks there than have a deal with the universities but I don't know if they give the loan to EU students or just Irish citizens. we definitely can't get any help in the UK to pay for med school in ROI by the looks of it which makes sense.

Sorry I meant to say I don't know about bank loans. They very could well be through a bank, but I'm not applying there so it's probably best to ask someone else!

Any idea why so few people from England consider GEM in Ireland? I thought the high fees were a deterring factor but if we can get some form of loan the it's not so bad. Although it is still much higher than the UK fees currently.
    Thanks for your reply :-)
