For my English Language controlled assessment, I have to write an essay about how Owen presents the experiences of the soldiers at the front in Dulce Et Decorum Est, Exposure and The Letter.
The problem is that I have been ill for a long time and so I have missed lessons when our teacher gave us notes. I have very little to say in "Exposure" and I don't know anything which I can say in "The Letter."
In Dulce Et Decorum Est, I got that Owen uses similies to show that the soldiers are tired and weak ("Bent double, like old beggars under sacks"). I also got that Owen use a lot of imagery to show the reader that dying in war was not heroic, but actually it was a horrible death. Lastly, I got that Owen uses a slow rhythm at the start of this poem to show the tiredness of the soldiers.
I am missing a lot of details from these poems. Please could someone give me suggestions on what I can say in my essay about these poems?
