I'm studying A2 philosophy and politics and resitting unit 2 in as phil. I'm struggling to find a method of revision that works So far the highest grade i've achieved in AS is a D but I partly blame AQA....
So any hints and tips for revision not necessarily in my subjects would be muchly appreciated

Yeah AQA are really harsh at grading for some reason but just think of your D as a right kick because obviously you can do better otherwise you wouldn't be in A2 right now. I can really help you on specifics because I don't do philosophy and politics but for my psychology, which is all essay, what I've learnt is not to study the essays and the long chunks of writing but study the hard facts and points and short evaluation points in all kinds of different methods, videos, posters, plain old bullet points, powerpoint presentations and it helps keep different parts of the subject separated so you don't start mixing two points up because the revision notes were so similar. As for the essay part, just practice a lot. As much as you can. Use lots of past papers, they're on the AQA website and you could really bother your teacher and ask for some essay titles (which they won't mind because they want you to pass).

I hope this helps just a little.
