Friend lied to his parents about staying over at my house without my consent... instead he was out doing things he shouldn't have been till 1am ... his parents found out he wasn't at mine and they got pissed of at him .. His parents insisted to speak to my parents to confirm he was at mine at 1:20 am ,,, Mate calls me up and says can i have ur number gave it to hime and then he says can ur mum lie for me ... I said no look at the bloody time .. And then he says can ur sis talk instead, or is that wrong? I said look at the time, theyd never do that ... he then calls me back and says can u tell my dad in a conference call that i'm at urs ... I said i amn't getting involved and not speaking to him .. I tbh couldn't give a **** if I was a bad mate.. I was decent about the situation but in hindsight I feel as though I should have said wtf are u all about mate!! I'm in a prestigous course with him, and quite foten hang out with him and another mate ... Will be a lil awkward i think :/

I don't think he deserves your help since he didn't ask permission to use you as his alibi. Let him feel the consequences of his actions.

However, if he had asked for your help, then it should be predetermined how far you're willing to go.

Can you please re-write that in english. I genuinely struggled to follow that story, specifically the bit about why your mum couldnt speak at a certain time. Did his parents call your house at 1:20am. This makes zero sense.

Surely you'd try and help him as a mate? Then the next time you needed a favour I'm sure it would be repayed. We all have stuff our parents don't need to know about.
