    Hi guys,

I have recently had my application transferred from the markets programme to risk at RBS where I have an upcoming ability centre.

What I was wondering is in the interview if I am asked where I see myself in 5 years time etc. whether to lie and say I want to stay in risk (even though I don't) or be honest about where I want to be and then tie in how risk will help this?

I do want this internship just not sure if they will take on someone who doesn't want to stay in that area afterwards.

Hope that's clear and thank for any replies.

You're gonna be interviewed by people who wouldn't know about your app being transferred, so don't mention it at all. Just go in proclaiming your desire to work for risk, i.e lie

If they see right through you you'll be on the first ticket out of their offices.

If you really want the internship, I think you shud make it sound like u want to do risk, dunno if they will look at it negatively if you say you really wanna do something else in the future but it is definitely a risk not worth taking.

Also you would be competing against candidates who actually want to do risk so tht could turn into the reason u dnt get thru even though you were a good candidate
