I'm in year 11 and I'll be completing A-level Mathematics this summer along side my 12 GCSE's however..after my results that just came oout..they werent exactly as good as I'd have hoped..and so I'll be looking to retake 3 moduales.. I already have an AS and I got an A for that.. but with my GCSE's in the summer I dont want to over burden myself with taking around 30 exams

So I was wondering.. is it possible to take the retakes in the January in the next acedemic year when I start my A-levels officially? I called up the board and asked them if this was possible and they said it was because the marks stay in the database etc..but then I was told from somewhere else that if you want to apply for medicine at uni.. they usually want you to complete the A-level over the two year period.. i need some concrete information about the system.. and what the policy actually is :/ I cant seem to find a straight answer
