Hi, I'm 16 on August 6th and was hoping to get a job in Tesco (and if failing that, Asda) and I was wondering if anyone knew the amount of hours I would be working and what days I would be working, and also what the rate of pay is per hour?

    Any help appreciated

Hi. I worked part-time at Tesco from age 16 - 20 (now 21). They are a very flexible employer and I changed my hours a couple of times. I started by doing 10 hours a week and earned 4.50 per hour. This increases over time with the company, with age and also with the annual pay rise. As for the days, you could work any day. I worked in two Metro stores and they tend to have students on the weekday evenings or weekends. On the application, make sure you tick as many boxes as possible for availability.
