How does the university you went to influence your future job?

What's the difference of graduating Cambridge or an university on the, I don't know, 40th spot in the league table?

In time, is it about your experience in the domain you have worked or still the university you graduated?

    Please help!

University does help, but i would say most of it is work experience and interview skills. I know someone who went to a Uni some would not think is prestigious but due to work experience got a really good job in the city.
