    Hey all,

I've newly acquired the running bug

I've never run before, but I'm running to increase my fitness level and lose some weight. I've entered for a 10k run in July so have a goal to work towards.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner like me ? How is best to build up fitness? How far/fast should I be running etc?

    Thanks in advance!

Get a proper pair of trainers. Your feet will thank you for it.

    I've never run before**

Good trainers are important, running on grass is preferable (better for joints) - though not advisable in dimly lit environs (risk of ankle injury)
