    hey ,

ive recently chosen my alevel subjects :
    media studies
    communication studies

i am now not sure if doing media studies or communication stud will enable me to do english degree in uni ..

please could you suggest which other subjects will be good to do for alevels ????

Lose the media studies and the communication studies. They aren't required for an English degree and will probably hold you back - they don't even get you into the media industry etc.

Which English are you studying? If it's Lit, do Lang as well; if it's Lang, do Lit as well. If you're doing combined, see if you can do lit and lang separately. For your next option, think about anything that is well-respected and that you can get a decent grade in. Did you do a modern foreign language GCSE, and were you good at it? Think about doing it to a-level. Or do something like economics or geography. If you're also good at maths or sciences, dropping one of those in wouldn't hurt either if you're stuck for another subject.
