May I ask why English people can't survive in scotland?
It's the climate. Our bodies can't aclimatise so once an English person crosses the border we die instantly. No amount of deep-fried mars bars can save you then.

maybe reconsider what you want to do
if you are that positive that theres nothing you can do to get you into that line of work then your only option is to look at something else.

I've worked out that the following are the only universities I could possibly go to:

Aberdeen (English people can't survive in Scotland)
    Bath Spa
    Brunel
    Canterbury Christ Church
    Coventry
Edinburgh (highly unlikely, and as above)
    Exeter Cornwall Campus (Unlikely)
    Queen Mary (Unlikely)
    Reading
    Winchester

I'm pretty much doomed to failure. I have an idea of exactly what I want to do if I were to graduate, but I'd always be beaten by those with better degrees. Sighhhh.....
I've been in Scotland for almost 8 months and the last time I checked I was still alive .

You are pretty much left with exactly the same options as me. It must be failures back up plan. Dont worry life goes on, it doesnt revolve around the university you go to, a first or 2.1 will always beat a 2.2 or 2.3 from a higher ranking uni.

I was going to go to Buckingham, but it's private. You get no student loan or any of that.

You can its just alot more difficult. and there are loads of grants you can apply , but you need to firm it. I was put off mainly due to the lack of social life there.

Im confused as to why English people cant survive in Scotland?
Sure we might mock you a little bit, but I get that as a scottish student in London. Especially Edinburgh, half the students are English, or foreign. Probably only a small percentage are actually scottish.

Stop being prejudiced. Its people like you that cause us to dislike English as a whole, and create the bad cycle.
Also. Edinburgh is a very good uni, and getting a degree from there would not be a bad thing!

    End rant
