    Hello,

This year (my first year of uni) both my parents worked in the UK, with a combined income above what is worth applying for a student grant for. Now my dad has moved abroad to work, so when it comes to re-applying for student finance, I am not clear what the deal is?

Total income is not far off the same, but only my Mum works in the UK, earning under 25k a year. Does this mean I could be eligible for a Student Grant?

Thank you for any help with this. I've traipsed the Student Finance website to no avail.

Unless they are divorced or legally separated his income counts. Just working abroad doesn't get special dispensation.
