I've never heard of the weighted regula falsi method, but I assume it aims to make the interval as small as possible in order to "speed up" the algorithm.

Have you already got a function for the mail method??

Where are you at currently? I haven't done regula falsi but very similar things...and in fortran but not matlab...is it the programming that is the problem, or understanding the maths of what you need to do, or both?

EDIT: Oh so it's false position method, I will be able to help you but my level of Matlab is basic, might have to help me out with that a bit!
