    Compound F is a cyclic compound with 6 carbon atoms and 12 hydrogens, so Cyclohexane (?)

    Can the empirical formula be CH2, because I thought that was impossible as a carbon needs 4 bonds.

    Also, do cyclic hydrocarbons have the same general formula as Alkenes
    Also Also, what is the difference between cyclic and alicyclic

    The general formula of cyclic compounds has to be different as two bonds are used up forming the cycle.

    Cyclohexane = C6H12 so the empirical formula = CH2

    An alicycle is a cyclic compound which is not aromatic (i.e. does not contain a benzene ring). These are old names... aliphatic, aromatic, alicyclic.
