I'm getting my hair coloured on Saturday, and am going to ask the hairdresser for advice, but I don't even know where to start really...I am super super pale, with green eyes, and my natural hair colour is almost black. I dyed my hair red so many times that whatever colour I dye it at home, it ends up with a ginger ish tinge...because of this I want to get rid of all the traces of red in my hair, but don't know what sort of colour would suit me?

Wat about just a natural brown colour, quite dark though so any gingerish doesnt come through

Trouble is, cos I'm so pale my dark hair makes me look ill...I dress in quite dark colours normally as well, so when my hairs dark I just get compared to either morticia adams or the girl from the ring haha...

Can the hairdressers work their magic and somehow remove the reddish hues from your hair?

Anyway, I think that warm brown colours would look lovely. Have you thought about highlights? I'm no hair expert, but perhaps slightly lighter brown highlights would make you look less 'goth'?

I'm just getting an all over colour to start with, so maybe a chocolatey brown would be nice then maybe build up with some highlights in summer?

a golden blonde? depends on skin tone i suppose, but can look nice with green eyes and pale skin
though could be difficult upkeep with such dark hair?!

personally i love the whole green/blue eyes, pale skin, black hair look, used to wish i had that combo haha.

as others have said, chocolate brown is probably a good idea too

oooh yeah i like the highlights idea too. like a chocolatey brown with golden/honey highlights to compliment it well.

jealous now though i do like my bright red XD

If you go too light you might end up looking washed out, especially if you wear dark clothes.
