    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help as I dont have any experience in the dental application process.

I was wondering whether you have to have GCSE triple science to apply to dentistry. Or is double science enough and has anyone been able to get onto the 5 year undergrad course as a school leaver with double science awards.

I have looked at online prospectuses and am getting mixed reviews. Can anyone help?

    Thanks so much

I took additional science (2 GCSEs) and I managed to get on - My school didn't offer triple science to our year what A-Levels are you going to take? I'd strongly recommend Biology and Chemistry

A girl i knew at 6th form is now doing dentistry at bristol. She only did double science at gcse, like most people in our year at school. Our school didnt offer tripple science. She got a's and a*'s at gcse i think. Then at a-level, she took biology, chemistry, maths and i think she may have took french.

However they might ask you in the interview why you didn't take it.

No you don't have to take triple science and it won't give you an advantage over people who did double. As long as you gat enough A's at GCSE and get A's at A level, thats what they go on. They will never ask you why you did not take triple science.
