Okay, so im sure were all going through the hell hole that is student finance at the moment, but if anyone could answer the following questions, id be very grateful..

Firstly, my mom does not know her customer reference number, or any of the details she supposedly supported with it. Does she need to enter her customer reference number into the application (Paper based)?

Second of all, how do I apply to the student grant, is it done automatically after applying for the loan, or is there a section i actually have to complete?

So far, Ive got as far as needing to send in my evidence, and it only says im requesting a maintenance loan, and a tuition loan.

Im very reliant on the grant, so im quite worried come September, Ill have no money to live off!

I'm not sure about the first one but for the grant iirc if you tick the box that says you want your family income to be taken into account then they will give you a grant depending on your income automatically.

You don't apply directly for the grant, it's assessed when your parents income is.

Re the reference number, my mum didn't have one when she sent her paper application in, and it wasn't a problem.

Get your Mum to phone up; the grant is automatically calculated.

There should be a bit where you can click to reset your customer reference and password
