    Hi

There are currently some graduate clinical scientist trainee positions but in case I do not get a position what other options would I have? I have been thinking of starting to look for Medical lab assistant roles as this will obviously provide relevant work experience and also give me some practical knowledge.

Has anyone got any further advice?

I am finishing my degree this year, at Aston University, don't think I got one of the clinical scientist positions so need to get some relevant work experience under my belt.

I am currently an MLA straight from 6th form, however work with other MLAs who are wanting to go down the clinical scientist route/enter band 5 BMS position within the NHS. The clinical scientist scheme is fiercely competitive, it is the alternative path to working towards a 'lab manager' status. Your written application has to be incredibly strong, I know of someone who applied 3 times before they got onto the course!

    Just keep trying!!

    Good luck to you x
