It feels silly posting this but I honestly can't start this. This is last year's paper's first question and I've been looking through the course book and lecture notes for 2 hours and not found the topic.



Any ideas?

Resolve into x and y directions.

For the x direction: Fx=max.ax=d2xdt2F_x=ma_x. \quad a_x = \frac{d^2x}{dt^2}
Similarly for y.
