One of my friends has an ABB offer for Social Policy with Government at LSE and an AAB for York for Social and Political Sciences. But is unsure which to firm. I am trying to convince her LSE but want to see what others think to give her some outside views. All comments appreciated.

Although one should take league tables with a pinch of salt, LSE places above York and scores considerably more. The social policy department at LSE is actually pretty good and she'll be taught by the leaders in the field. Plus having LSE, a globally-renowned university for social sciences on a CV would definitely boost employment prospects.
