I am currently in the Lower Sixth, going through AS level. Nearly finished because its nearly Summer now. I have checked the math challenge dates and the coming senior challenge is due to be held this november which is November 2011. If you get the top mark then you proceed to BMO1. I know that coming top in BMO1 is vital to get offer from Trinity college Cambridge. But what i heard from the guy in year above, who got an offer from Trinity for maths he got top grades in BMO1 and 2, and he went to the Trinity training camp in the summer before he got the offer from the Trinity. So for me, If i take Senior challenge, this year ill be in the upper sixth and even i do well and get good mark in BMO1, i would have applied to the Trinity by that time. and If i apply for trinity i will not be able to include the top mark BMO1 score. I dont know how this works, can any one tell me how i will proceed under condition that i will get top grade in senior challenge and bmos.
so it starts like, i will be taking Senior challenge this year november 2011... and bmo in january. but then i would be applying for uni by then. I odnt know how it works, or have I missed the senior challenge last year. ?

You don't need a top BMO1 mark to get into Trinity. I'm sure it helps but it's really not necessary.

I honestly don't think BMO is particularly important in Cambridge terms - granted, the practise will most definitely help you in the interview etc. but they just can't expect everyone to do it.
I'd just done the BMO1 before my Cambridge interview, timewise - I hadn't got my results back yet (I think - can't quite remember). And it was barely referenced in the interview at all - they have their own ways of testing maths goodness.
