i got 9 A*s and 2 As... .7.8 average
but worked my socks off and nearly made myself ill by not eating or sleeping so i could get the grades.

My average would be 8, but like everyone at my (state) school I only did 9.5 GCSEs.
(Also I'm holding a pool offer, rather than actually being there now.)
