CIMA student needs help watch

    • Thread Starter

Hello. I really need some advice on networking. I am a graduate with a Mathematics degree of 2008 and doing the CIMA qualification as I wish to pursue a career in finance or something where my maths is useful. I do have a job where I work in customer service in the retail sector, but I really want to find something career orientated as soon as possible. People say that there's a "hidden job market" and whilst I've been speculating, it appears that no-one has anything. I tend to go for small or medium sized companies as the big ones often want 2:1s and having a 2:2, this makes things hard. Plus, I don't want anything too high fluting where you have to go through lots of aptitude tests, just somewhere where I work with ordinary people.

Has anyone else resolved this problem? And how did you do it apart from the general recruitment agencies which never seem to work for me? Does a hidden jobs market really exist?

    Thanks in advance!
