# inhomogeneous differential equation watch

1. find the general solution of d2x/dt2-6dx/dt+5x=3.

gen solution: y=yn+yp

i've found yn to be Ae^x +Be^5x

for yp, yp=a
yp'=0
yp''=0
how do i find yp?

don't know how to do supersubscripts sorry

Taking this all from what you posted -

You know that at t=0:

yp = some constant, C
yp' = 0
yp'' = 0

0 - 0 + 5C = 3.
