I am trying to establish if the test in R v Dawson (1985) 81 Cr App R 150 (regarding the reasonable person having all the knowledge/circumstances of D) still stands or has been overruled? I have only found cases that follow it so far.

As far as I know it's still good. If you're using Westlaw a tab on the LHS will give you "all cases citing". That allows you to view the history of the case in terms of where it has since been mentioned, considered, applied etc.. According to that it hasn't been overruled.
