I think I'm gonna put Bankside as my first choice! Just wondering, when they put you in a single room sharing a bathroom with one other person, do they try and make it so you're both male or both female? Also, how easy is it to get self-catered and what cooking facilities do you get if you're not self-catered?

they hired professional dealers, poker table, roulette wheels blackjack tables
    was pretty fun!

everyone i know at bside shares with someone the same sex

not everyone gets kitchen access, if you do, then you pay quite a bit for it
for this you get the standard kitchen things, oven, cooker, fridge etc.

if you dont get kitchen access you can use the lounges on each floor which have a microwave .. lols

If anyone reading this has has lived in or is currently living in Bankside House, please share your experiences with us! What's the food really like? What time does the restaurant open/close? How did you find the social scene/general atmosphere?
your first few questions are too open
    but
food is fine, large portions for a decent price
    not sure about timings
theres a lot of people at bankside you'll surely make friends
theres a large mix of people, its very social, theres lots of groups of people in bankside, theres large and small groups of friends
i hate the reception staff though lol

Its deffo the best walk by far compared to other halls. Across Blackfriars bridge, (or Millennium if you want), walk down Victoria Embankment along the river, then cut through Temple. Very Scenic. Its about 20-30 mins, although if you walk really fast, you can do it in 15.
