    Hey all,

Basically I'm considering going to Aberdeen university to read Psychology but I'm a little worried about going to university in Scotland. I'm half English and half Irish (I have a British passport and an Irish passport there is no argument over my dual nationality) but my accent is defiantly an English one. I'm worried I will be picked on for being 'English'. I don't think Scottish people on a whole are racist but it would be silly to say there are no Scottish people with ill-thoughts about English people. I've always been fine in the republic and North of Ireland cause I'm normally around Irish people who know I'm half Irish so other people tend to accept me but I don't know how Scottish people on a whole feel about the Irish or the English . It worries me a little because I've heard some things about Aberdeen and of course the attack on the girl in the town centre just cause her English accent. So will people start on me because of my accent?

Also any other facts or advice about the university and Aberdeen would be nice =)
