So basically my dog Bella has 7 puppies
She's quite a young dog herself (only a few years old)
She's incredibly active and playful, which is great, but Ive noticed that she's a bit of a b*tch at times. If I were to throw a ball, she would literally ram through and stamp over her puppies to fetch it.
Now I have NEVER done this on purpose, but a couple times in the past my brother will be bouncing a football casually on the other side of the room and my dog will tear through her puppies to get to it. Literally rip through them. One puppy even lay there motionless for a little while and i was worried it was seriously injured...
What animal does this?? Sacrifice its own children for... a bouncy ball. :|
Is this normal behaviour for dogs?
I cant help but feel somewhat disgusted by it....

It's a dog, stop trying to attribute human values to it.

May be your dog have more deep relation with you rather than her puppies.
I think you should allow your dog to spend more time with here puppies alone. -
