    Hey,

I'm just starting to seriously look at PhDs for 2012 entry. Has anyone got any words (cautionary or otherwise) to offer on applying for fairly similar PhDs at the same university? I'm currently studying computer science, and would like to convert through a 4-year PhD to neuroscience (particularly inclined towards systems and/or neuroimaging). More specifically, for the purposes of this thread:

    Thanks

As long as they have two separate application process it's gonna be fine.

It's fine. Very competitive though, however programming skills are much loved by UCL. I think the stipend is higher for computational neuroscience PhD students.

Its fine, but they will know, so when it comes to interview you'll want to have a good response to reel off when they mention it, but it won't be seen as a bad thing.
