Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, . I live in a house with 3 other students. But one of them has a really bad IBS problem. So whenever he uses the bathroom he leaves it really stinky. I have heard of toilet ventilation systems, and that they help to get rid of odor and bacteria. I was wondering whether we should get one installed. Has anyone tried it out ? Please let me know if you have. We really need to find a solution for this problem.

I know it sounds strange, but stick a candle in there and close the door/windows. Just a cheap 10p tealight will do.
They're good at getting rid of smells for some reason (maybe they burn the smelly sulphuric gases in the air? dunno), and it'll be much cheaper than installing a ventilation system

Keep a bottle of air freshener in the bathroom.
Put it so its visible and he may even get the message and use it himself after he used the bathroom.
