So, I was browsing a few graduate websites when Academic Knowledge (http://www.academicknowledge.com) popped up about writing, so as an aspiring writer, checked the site and it seems it's the place to visit if you're a student and looking for someone to write your work for you.

But on a serious note as a writer, would it be worth doing something if there are subject areas where I'm satisfactorily knowledgeable in?

    Any general thoughts?

I think the whole idea of students paying other people to write their essays and dissertations for them is reprehensible and would want no part in it.

I have a friend who used to work for that company - essentially you get a third of what the punter pays the company and there are lots of financial penalties if you don't use enough book references / use too many internet sources, put the page numbers in the wrong place etc. In the end he decided it was more trouble than it was worth. He's also considering going into academia and its hardly something you'd want academics knowing you were involved with.

It would be helpful if negative reppers would engage in debate rather then just give negative feedback.... just a thought!

Don't get your hopes up - it's TSR... instant negative rep is less hassle than being bothered to explain your position on something.
