Hey I was desperate to apply to Durham for Politics but i couldnt because i dont have any social sciences or humanities at A-level (I emailed the uni and apparently my English literature would have been a language!) I never realy considered applying for the combined social sciences course/arts course which my A-levels would be OK for, I would rather go to Durham than any of the uni's i have applied to and was wondering whether any of the courses would be entered for UCAS extra (or even clearing) Thnx
Dunno. However, I do know that some (veryveyrveryvery limited) places might be available on some courses on results day. However, these will disappear rapidement.
I think there's more courses in the stockton campus that go to ucas extra or clearing than there is for durham city courses. I doubt combined social sciences would goto clearing or ucas extra as its pretty competitive with AAB the typical offer now.
Biomed was on the night before results day, but then they took it off before the results were announced...odd! There was 1 course on it from Durham too, but i cant remember which one...
I don't think any courses at Durham (not including Stockton) have ever been into clearing territory. If you don't make the grades you're almost certainly not on the course, and you won't pick up a place unless you apply there first time round. Sorry.
