Basically, early in my childhood I suffered something traumatic (bullying) which led to very low confidence. How can I start improving y confidence? I want to be able to man up when it comes to women but I just don't feel brave enough, I'm too shy!

How do you like your image? If you don't like it, try and get advice and improve on things.
Go to a gym, even if you don't do it 'properly' and thus don't change much, the fact you are going to a gym may help xD
Sports clubs? societies if at university? things like that.

    All just practice.

Social skills are like a muscle; the more you exercise them, the stronger they get.

Paraphrased from someone on TSR. Just go for it & learn from the experiences until you naturally ooze confidence.[/massivehypocrite]

Work your backside off and become extremely successful, those bullies will be the dirt you scrape off your shoe. Good luck.
