I can assure you that the power to delete posts and ban members has never been invested in someone who's been a member less than 6 months. The genuine Forum Assistants (of which there a 4) currently have the title twice (see here and here for examples). The complete staff list can be viewed here, and the current 4 Forum Assistants are Becca-Sarah, Metrobeans, Student2806 and Tom. You are not one of them.
