Right, you're a girl. You've got a ****-buddy whom you see every few weeks or so, you go out, get smashed, go clubbing, then go to his place and have epic sex. He's made it abundantly clear that he's not interested in a relationship and has no romantic feelings towards you, and your position on the whole matter is reciprocal in that way.
Now, he goes off to Arizona for the Easter holidays, and comes back with a pair of lovely artisan Indian craftsmanship turquoise and sterling silver earrings for you.

What would you read into this?
In case it wasn't clear, I thought it might be nice to bring my friends back some gifts, and I thought she might like the earrings. She shouldn't read anything into it, I'm not trying to say anything with it- it's just a gift.

Prostitutes are paid with money, you're paid with gifts.

I think that's a nice idea, and provided the boundaries between you both are clearly drawn, shouldn't be a confusing message.

Perhaps just give her the one earring so she doesn't read too far into things?

Personally wouldn't. Were you friends before you started sleeping together? If so, then maybe yes. Personally, if a **** buddy of mine did this, I'd be confused about the situation.

Nah, we met briefly at a flat party, went out for drinks a few weeks later and just started shagging.
