I don't like the idea of big labels on clothes because I feel it's flaunting my rather non existent wealth

I think they just advertise the fact that you're too poor / too much of a cheapskate to buy real things so you resort to facillitating what is practically stealing the intellectual property of others.

Also, please stop spamming in horrible broken English.

It can help to prevent some of the damage done by cruel capitalist exploitation.

If you don't like capitalism, why not go somewhere like Zimbabwe?

I'll stick with my "cruel exploitation" thanks.

Zimbabwe is a prime example of imperialist capitalist exploitation. Why on Earth would I go there?

I'm referring to the conditions of the country, not its leader (who isn't as bad as the media tries to make out).

You lose all credibility once you start saying Mugabe isn't that bad.

I didn't say he isn't bad, just not as bad as the popular media tries to make him seem. He does actually care about his country, he just has funny turns from time to time. You clearly know little about african politics, and also had no credibility to begin with.

Your English would suggest you are in the business of selling 'replicas' (fakes), if not in the business of making them. I've corrected your post in my quote above, you can compare the difference to see where you went wrong.

To answer your question, they are usually very poor quality Chinese copies, and as such I don't buy things like that.

I can't afford big brands, so I don't buy big brands. It's as simple as that. In my experience, Next clothes are very good quality, same with M&S. They cost more than Topshop or Primark, but they last much longer. Keeping up with fashion is not an interest for me anyway, because I'm not a decadent consumerist.
