It's well acknowledged that labour would be making similarly huge cuts to what the coalition is doing at the moment. Watching question time last night it the figures they quoted were £14bn instead of £16bn. My question to conservative supporters is if labour was in power and making these marginally smaller cuts would you be out on the street protesting, asking for a faster reduction of the deficit? Or would you be protesting asking for smaller cuts (presumably on the grounds that people would still be angry at the police and libraries that would still be going)?

Labour supporters or lib dems or anyone else who doesn't really have a say in this government, would you be supporting these smaller cuts or still protesting asking for less?

Regardless of what the cuts were people would still be protesting. Unfortunately some people in this country believe that they have a god given right to public services, and that they should get these public services no matter what and screw the consequences for eveyone else.

No. I don't really are about the size as long as something useful is being done.

If they dared to tip the balance more towards tax rises than to spending cuts I'd consider it.
