Ok so I have made UEA my unconditional firm for chemistry this september. I am currently working full time in a pub, not too far from norwich itself. I have a friend who I work with who wants to move out and get a place.

So thats one option ^ I get a place with a friend, somewhere between where we work, and norwich.

The other option is, of course, uni accomodation, obviously this has advantages, but as far as I can see, the freedom you would have in Uni Accom is far less than if you were renting your own place (ie; parking, pets, parties, swimming pools/bbqs in the summer, etc etc... and ofc other things like not being able to really choose the area or people you live near)

So, was wandering what you TSR's think/what would you do?

    Thanks

Personally I'd still move into uni halls, that way its easier to make friends, at UEA most of the accomodation is on campus so your 5 mins away from lectures and the SU.

    This.

If you move in with your friend, you might feel obligated to hang around with them all the time outside of uni and not get a chance to make any friends on your course etc.
