    Hi all,

    Back in 2008 I completed my Maths AS-level. I got a B - an okay B actually, almost an A

Since then I've (almost) graduated with a degree with a significant Economics component. I'm pursuing some science A-levels to put in an application for medicine. Would I be able to transfer my old Maths AS-level across and work towards an A2 in Maths, now?

I understand that quite a bit has changed in the last few years - namely we did 6 modules in total, now that's been cut down to four?

I know that it's possible to do an A2 level having done an AS level in the same subject but using a different exam board.

Is it also possible to pick up an AS level from 2008?

P.S. I know that Maths isn't a pre-requisite for medicine. And I know Economics -> Medicine is an odd decision. I don't need more reminding of this, please!

As Mr M said yes you can and no maths has not changed from 6 to 4 units

You need to do C3 and C4 plus another applications unit

D1 has changed, between D1 and D2. Some other units in FP Maths have changed, but I think C1-4 is the same. You can read this bit that I am telling you in the specification on page 1 itself under 'Key features..' look at points 3-4. It should be detailed somewhere else as well in spec.
