Hello. :^_^: I'm an EU student hoping to apply for medicine in the UK. I've considered putting Pharmacy as a fifth option. I was wondering whether having a medicine-oriented personal statement would make my chances for being offered a place on a Pharmacy course non-existent. From what I have read up to now it isn't too much of a problem when applying for Biomedical Sciences, but I'm more interested in Pharmacy as a safe option. Any insight welcomed.

You can always request to send a separate statement relating to pharmacy to your chosen university. Most universities agree, I've not heard of a case where they haven't. Quite a few med applicants use pharmacy or pharmacology or something similar as their back up choice, so I don't think it would be such a problem, but you'd be better off waiting for a reply from one of the forum elders.

there have been a few people on TSR who have used pharmacy as their 5th choice and got offers. Not sure who they arethough, youll have to track them down, they definitely exist though
