You know that Adrenaline is released by the adrenal glands and only targets cells that have the complementary glycoprotein receptor on ther cell-surface membrande that are complementary to adrenaline. Such as liver cells.
Once binded to the receptor, an oestrogen-receptor complex is formed. This complex activates an enzyme on the inner cell membrane, which in-turn converts ATP into cyclic AMP which acts as a sencond messenger, thus activating a glucose phosphorylase enzyme that converts glycogen to glucose(glyogenolysis). It also results in the inhibition of an ezymes that stimulates glycogenesis.

The sliding fillament theory is basically the formation of an actomyosin cross bridge between actin and myosin fillments. The myosin head changes angle, pulling the actin over itself as it does so. The energy from the hydrolysis of ATP by ATPase is used for the detatchment and reformation of cross bridges further along the actin filment. In this way the sarcomere shortens, which allows the muscle to contract when stimulated by an action potential.

Can someone please tell me, in muscle contraction, when actin myosin cross bridges form, is ATP already attached to myosin or is ADP and Pi attached? I'm really confused
