So I have accepeted an unconditional offer from Kingston University where I would really love to go but I'm really worried about my financial situation.

Once I pay my accomadation I will be left with around 5,000 GBP to live on from september - may/june and im just thinking is this enough money to live in the Kingston area of London with.

Please help folks im really worried.

    £500/month, £125/week, £17/day.

I mean that's not taking into account any large outgoings like Fresher's, books, equipment, homeware, travel back home, bills and emergencies.

It's probably do-able but it will be tight. I'd imagine you'll end up with a large overdraft/credit card bills.

I think its fine. Obviously you'll need to budget but I think you are in a better position than a lot of students.

Shop smartly, and you'll be fine. Just make sure you go for the bargains & special offers when they pop up! (within reason)

I'd say it's plenty. Just use some common sense - make your own lunch, make a budget and stick to it, go foor the offers.

Should definitely be enough. Though watch out if your accommodation is quite far from your uni. Buses and trains are pretty expensive
