Is this for combined? Do you have to write for a purpose like to persuade or entertain? Does it have to be based at an audience?

I wrote a speech on ecstasy use to persuade teenagers not to take it, and i wrote a leaflet on hamster care for 6-11 year olds. You could do something much more imaginative though, i just went for the easy options. xx

For my first piece wrote a speech on bullycide (ppl commitin suicide because being bullied) kind of bizzare just happened to stubled on website when lookin 4 inspiration. Did lots of research in school bout it eg did quesstionaire to pad speech out. I also preformed it to make sure audience and purpose fit and now deputy head watched it n wants me 2 preform 2 all students, staff and goveners. So even c/w can make big difference 2 skools. Most my friends did novels extracts found dem easy, oh n 1 person did a parody of lord of the rings in style of bridget jones. it was all bout sam lovin frodo it was hilarious! gd luk sx

I'm only at GCSE, but we've done a few original writing essays: a short story with the title "The Promise", one on work experience, an autobiography, one on "My special place" and another on "What is evil?"
I wrote a five-volume roman fleuve set in Restoration Paris.

I did a speech about drugs, similar to mousey, and I did a leaflet for parents whose children were going to start the clarinet, and included how to care for it , and practice etc.

So called 'easy' options, but I got an A for it so I am not complaining!
cool - do you still have it?

cant remember gcse but AS: album review and a rant.
a rant about what?
I did a pair of monologues- one very heavy monologue about a court case for a woman who had been abused by her husband and then in contrast I did a monologue from the voice of a child on their birthday- I had fun with that one and it let me show off what we'd learned about child language so I got extra brownie points. (And, to be fair, the second one was very easy to write)
I did a story (at GCSE) about a Russian ambassador in London during the cuban missile crisis who loses his faith in Communism. Heavy stuff! And a bit pretentious as well.

Before that, I wrote a (short) sequel to a novel I had read. Thats always a good idea- if you do it write it shows that you understand exactly how that author writes and have analysed it in detail.
16 years too late, but what was your grade 😅
I wrote a article about life as a bilingual child.
