I'm putting in a transfer application to go into 2nd year (have done first year at Cambridge), and writing my personal statement at the moment.

Is anyone lurking on here studying at UCD at the moment?

I've never regretfully never been to Dublin so I wanted to know a bit about what life's like there. I've heard its expensive but with lower tuition fees than here I'm not too bothered.

And also the vet course, there's some info on the website but limited - what proportion of the exams is essays, how well do they draw in clinical relevance in the first few years, do the lecturers tend to inspire you about their subjects - those are issues I had with Cambridge.

I notice the terms are 12 weeks with extra time for the exams which looks like it spreads the year out much better than Cam, how do you find the weekly workload?

Thanks for any help anyone can give

I'm not in UCD but am from Dublin. Price wise it's comparable to London. UCD is in a good part of town so rent is going to be at least 100 a week. You may try posting here and will probably have a better bit of luck, I know there are a few UCD vets there. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=470
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
