    Hola,

I'm looking at the UCAS website for courses that are available through Extra. However, a lot of the courses say they are 'closed for applications' whilst being listed with the 'extra courses only' box ticked.

Does 'closed for applications' mean the course and the university are closed for Extra applications too?

    Thanks for any help

The courses your talking about are ones that are available in extra to international students

    Hey,

No it doesn't necessarily mean they are closed for Extra as some Unis go through Extra but don't take late applications. Therefore if you were looking to apply through Extra you would specifically need to ask whether they are actually open through Extra or whether it is a mistake on UCAS

So for clarification, on this image I've posted, even though the checkbox for 'extra courses only' has been checked, the Aberdeen courses are not avialable and the Aberystwyth courses are?

Well yeah I would say so but it's strange to have done that. Like I said it's always best to check with the actual unis but use that as a rough guide

You need to check with the uni whether they have spaces in Extra as that may be a mistake - or they may just have spaces for certain groups, such as international students as someone has already said.
