    No

    Probably several reasons :

The Royals have a minor presence in "The North" - so are less relevant, as we don't see them very often.

The North has a lower per capita income, and more unemployment - so less ££ to piss away on a party for strangers.

Less suburban brinksmanship - we don't have the same "keep up with the jones" culture - so there will ber fewer Terry & June types organising things to "outdo" the neighbours, or just show off with a bigger buffet

Or perhaps we just have more common sense.

A lot of people I know are not happy about losing a working day out of an already short week.....its SATS in primary schools too few days later.

Oh - plus the fact they are quite obviously not "in it together"..... Just a few weeks into the new financial year as the ConDem cuts kick in, it is poor timing for a posh knee's up "down south" whilst the NHS, the welfare state and public services in general begin the decay into privatised, money grubbing Tory- Hell.

If they are willing to dispose of these selfless people, then i see no other label for them.
Who are you saying is 'disposable' and who do you think its going to dispose of them.

Understand me : Nobody likes you, nobody agrees with you.
If they did, It would have happend already.

    What !?!

They may use it, but if you are suggesting I did because of the bnp, that is nonsense

I don't think the bnp originated that term.....either way, no idea why you linked my post to those loony fascist losers..

Lol I was only joking, I could only find a serious eyebrows smiley.
I was looking up their website on election night to see what they said about their own massive fail in Barking. Ovbiously, no comment.

OK - fair enough, Sorry to jump up & down - but being from "oop north" ...not only am I ambivalent abut the Royals, I am also very wary of the BNP / EDL - they root around up here looking to stir up trouble, and it isn't welcome,:mad:

Interestingly, a local (tory) councilor I know reckons a lot of the bnp activists are southerners, and since Hope Not Hate got into them ( with others ) the BNP has lost loads of ground in the North and it is noticeable they are very much a southern based group.

In the light of all this
I'm from the north, but me and my mates are going to celebrate the royal wedding in a good old (new) british way, we're going to get absolutely baked, sing Rule Britannia and the National Anthem a few times, and fall asleep in the woods under a union jack gazebo.
After all, Kate and William are going to do the same for my wedding day right?

I don't get how you can not care about a family that has devoted their entire lives to serving the state, at least show some kind of respect.
    HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAA :rofl3::rofl3:

Oh man who kenw the royal family had stooped to brainwashing. What does she do really what has the queen doen in the last ten years to deserve ANY respect.

Devoted her life to the state, she was BORN into royalty it's all she's ever known, lord knows she only doesn't give it up because she's got immense wealth, an army at her disposal, free healthcare, (or so cheap it might as well be free) body gaurds, about six places to holiday just in scotland and aorund the world.

Some life she's given up. Seriously I can't imagine living the obvious pain she lives every day...what a sacrifice.

Why are people so pessimistic? I'd rather see the wedding all over the news rather than a nasty picture of Katie Price trying to regain her youth.
What has Katie Price got to do with it?

I wonder if the DM has even factored in that considerably more people live in the south than the north.

Given that it's the DM, probably not.
Don't think that's actually right - though the line between south and north is arbitrary.

The DM seem to have left out Birmingham and the Midlands entirely and tbh I don't expect the people there are any more enthusiastic about the royal legover than the folks in Leeds or Liverpool.
