Should I get checked? watch

Last night I had unprotected sex with a man who has slept with a lot of women. He didn't come, because we got interrupted before we were finished, but I did spend a lot of time giving head, and the actual sex lasted a while too (he lasted a really long time!) should I get an STI check or is it very unlikely I have caught anything?

Unfortunately, although he didn't come I would assume he still produced "pre-ejaculate", which has been shown to be able to carry numerous pathogens including HIV. Although oral carries a lower risk, you guys actually had penetrative sex correct? The fact he didn't finish quickly doesn't help either.

So yes, i would get an STI check - better safe than sorry. However, it does depend on what you're checking for. I.e, if you're checking for HIV you'll need to wait for 3 months.

Maybe if you hadn't dropped your knickers for just anyone, you wouldn't be in this mess. Lesson learned from this? Stay in the kitchen.

Get yourself checked anyway for peace of mind.

And learn from this.....always use protection!

yes get checked out and in the future use a condom if you don't trust the guy to be clean

STI tests require you to go to the clinic at least 2 weeks after you had sex.
HIV/syphilis has a "upto" 3 month incubation period (from when you had sex) before tests can detect it from your blood sample.

Only have unprotected sex with a partner if youre sure they arnt sleeping with other people. Threesomes are ok too just as long as the 3 of you sleep with just the 3 of you.
