What did people get for the specific charge of the helium/alpha particle?
I did.

charge/mass

charge was the charge for an electron times by 2
mass was mass of a proton or neutron times by 4

got a big number.
2. (Original post by Naum)
4.79 * 10^7 or something
Yeah I remember something similar
3. (Original post by hwalker37)
Something tiny haha I just did 2 x charge of proton divided by 4 x mass of nucleons
Do you mean massive. it was like 10 to the 7
4. What was the internal resistance? I got like 0.46 ohms =/

I mean massive! Post exam n00bishness

oh i got 0.45 maybe i rounded wrong :/

Lol. My brain feels weak. I don't even know what time or day it is. My sleeping pattern are ****ED.
10. (Original post by Naum)
It was 1.333 A for the 2nd to last question and 2 volts for the last question. I put 0.67 A though, lol.

The 3rd part of the first question was retarded: "state the characteristics of the strange particle", I wrote that it has strangeness.

What did you guys get for the internal resistance? It was 0.4.. something but I put 1.48 :/

That was HARD paper, the grade boundaries will probably be lower. Anyone who says it was easy is purely bull****ting to look clever, or is actually extremely clever.
Okay maybe I was well prepared but what did you find hard :s

What?

Perhaps the way you could have interpreted the graph was different so maybe there is a range of values you could have got (like 0.44-0.48)? It's hard for everyone to get the same value for the gradient, even if everyone picked the point which was exactly on the grid.

oh of course it was the gradient question, i think i most likely lost marks since i picked a point on the line rather than take the gradient of the whole line by dy/dx

That only has it for Jan11. Not May11. It may be similar but not the same. Grade boundaries and UMS conversion.

In general there were way more electricity questions which I believe I considered harder than the photoelectric effect/photon questions, and no questions on resistivity, so going by that I would say it was harder to get marks.

Yeah I know, but still, you can work out an average from all the years and then see roughly what ums you may be getting.

What?
This exam isn't meant to be spoken about until midnight.

Yeah I did the same What other values did people get for the internal resistance?

People speak about the exam with their friends the second they leave the exam hall

With AQA A-level physics you can speak straight after because it is an english, not international exam
